There's a song about a supposed masculine problem-attitude syndrome: IT COMES WITH THE PLUMBING. (Related punchline: "Put the d!ck on the dumb one.") How did I end up with three M50/2's? THEY CAME WITH THE CAMERAS. One with a K1000; two with MV1's; all were in batch-lot auctions. IOW I didn't go out of my way to get them; they just happened along. (And I only kept one MV1.)
Got it, I have had the same happen to me but I disperse the chaff fairly soon after. Since you still have them, are you keeping them until they hit $50-70 to sell or?

At the moment, they're decorations on K-mount cams displayed on my shelves. Even batched, they still cost a bit; selling them immediately wouldn't help my profit margin any. In my early days of eBay lens madness I bought batches of unusable (by me) lenses, like a pile of Canon FD's that cost about US$9 each. I held onto them for almost 2 years. When I listed them, they sold for about US$60 each. Nice margin! And a similar experience with a bunch of Jupiters -- bought at US$15, sold at US$50.

I have enough storage space that hanging onto stuff for months is no problem. A Promaster or Tokina or Ozunon or Vivitar or Quantaray or Rexatar, those I'll dump fairly quickly. A Jupiter or Takumar or Meyer or Schacht or Petri -- those values just mature with time. When the voices in my head tell me to buy more lenses, I'll sell those stashes. No rush now.

Preise für gebrauchte Objektive für Pentax DSLR | Prices for used lenses for Pentax DSLR

publishes used Pentax lens prices on ebay.
For 2008, 2009, 2010, Q1 2011, Q2 2011 and July 2001.

I don't see a reductioon of prices but have a look at the data yourself. I only made a very superficial check.

I have not noticed a reduction in prices on ebay, but lately I have not seen as much variety. And I don't count the "buy it nows" trying to sell at prices higher than retail. I think the market is over-saturated with 50/2s and FA28-80s. I've bought quite a few lenses at Shopgoodwill, but it's getting much harder to find a deal there now, many of the lenses there are selling way over the ebay prices.

Price increased for lens less than $400ish. The other way around for more expensive lenses.

Nice link....with price charts. Good resource.

I have notice that the 645 lenses (A) have gone for less than they did 6 months ago. Also I am trying to sell a 80-400 Tokina on eBay which i bought over a year ago for $500 and I listed for $450 with no takers (twice). It is in very good shape so it is not a condition issue.
