Still More Lens History

In Roger Cicala's suberb History of Photography series, the latest entries are:

LENS GENEALOGY - PART 1 about the Petzval Portrait, Rapid Rectilinear [Symmetrical], and Double Gauss designs,
and now
LENS GENEALOGY – PART 2 covering the Cooke Triplet, Telephoto, and Reverse Telephoto [Retrofocus] designs.

All this is just like Electric Kool-Ade for us optics junkies. Be sure to read the earlier entries about groovy glass.

You're so welcome! I should have mentioned that these six designs are the basis for just about all the glass we stick onto cameras now. The roots, as it were...
