Rattling in new 50 macro

Just received a new D FA 100 macro from B&H. I immediately noticed in unpacking that something is bouncing around inside like a loose element. I tried it on my K-5 and it seemed to work but none of my others lenses have a rattle in them. Have already applied to an exchange but wanted to make sure this was not normal before swapping it. This is getting frustrating as my DFA 100 also arrived damaged. Dave

My M50 f1.4 has a slight rattle also. I found it is from the aperture lever on the back of the camera. If you hold the lever and still hear the rattle, there could something inside the lens.

Tim,
Tried your suggestion and it does not matter if I hold every lever and button on it, something is still rattling. B&H has already supplied a free return label. On to the second copy. This one I put more on B&H as it was very poorly packed. Dave
