I got this a week ago. All wide open, iso 200, low light.

RMC Tokina 24mm f2.8 - a set on Flickr

I could not find any detail info of this 24mm
but for 28mm f2.8

Looks like a great buy. The in focus and out of focus rendering is beautiful.

The Tokina RMC's are good performers. Wish I had more! You got a good one there. And a great price -- 24's mostly aren't cheap anymore. Have fun!

That Rainbow multicoating is good for something:

The OOF rendering is probably the best aspect of this lens. It was pretty sharp for closeup work, but was less sharp towards longer focusing distances and overall I didn't feel it was a significant improvement over the DA 18-55 - it's faster, of course, but I expected it to be sharper stopped down. Has slight barrel distortion. A decent lens, but I couldn't warm up to it because of the sharpness aspect, so I gave it to a friend. I believe I took the above shot when I last used it.

this seems to be exactly as with the RMC 28/2.8 I used to have. Great sharpness and nice colours but as soon as there is ANY stronger light source (even bulbs) in the frame or hitting the front element the contrast of this lens just drops like lead zeppelin and reflections are all over the place. Shame because otherwise it was a nice lens...
