The question that I have is how correctable in postprocessing are the lens defects. Any super zoom is going to have some issues -- some more than others. Falconeye has gone so far as to say that he recommends everyone who uses the Pentax DA 18-250 to buy Dxo or equivalent software with it. Dan (audiobomber) posted several photos comparing the 18-135 to his copy of the 18-250 and they were very comparable, I would have gone so far as to say hi 18-135 was a little sharper than his 18-250.
