Fish-eye on a budget

A friend of mine just showed me a link to making your own fish-eye lens. I thought it was pretty funny, I wonder if you can actually get any decent results from it. Basically they just took a lens from an old pair of glasses and taped it to the front of their camera lens. I bet you wouldn't be able to auto-focus with it. Anyway, that is the ultimate cheapest way to get a fish-eye, although I don't think I will add it to my bag anytime soon.

Failing that, a trip down to your friendly local fishmonger might be in order, although I understand it's kind of an 'eye-watering' experience for the faint-of-heart, so to speak.......lol
