Yes!!!

Sigma 55-200mm F4-5.6 DC (AF Lens) Lens Reviews - Sigma Lenses - Pentax Lens Review Database

It's a legacy lens. You'll be much better off with the Pentax 55-300mm: Pentax-DA L 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED Reviews - DA L Zoom Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database

If you read the reviews youŽll think that the best choice for quality/price is one of this.....probably pentax 55-300 but in one of the both reviews is not good for this item.

I own the Sigma DC 55-200 and I love it. It's an underrated unknown gem for the price. It is surprisingly sharp all the way and even wide open.

Back when I bought it I also considered the DA 50-200 and Sigma/Tamron 70-300s.
Based on reviews and forum posts, it seemed to me that the 55-200 had the best IQ. The DA 50-200 was often reported as being soft off-center and especially wide-open. Someone in a Canon forum compared the DC to a Canon equivalent lens, with favorable results for the Sigma. On top of that, the Sigma was considerably cheaper than the competition - dirt cheap at $150 (vs $220 for the DA at the time).

Like I said, I am very satisfied. I get very good results, convenient zoom range, surprisingly good macros at 200mm with a good diopter, and in a light and compact form.

The DC 55-200 is in fact discontinued, replaced by the DC 50-200 OS. If the new lens is as good (with the additional benefit of OS), then it is simply a steal.

I'll add that I bought the DC 55-200 way before the DA 55-300 existed. Today, the DA 55-300 is certainly a viable choice (with a terrific range and reportedly good IQ), but at a significantly higher price level.
For good value, you may consider getting the cheaper version DA-L 55-300 (has plastic mount, no quick-shift, and no hood included). It can be bought only 2nd-hand because it is sold new only as part of a K-x/K-r kit.

But again, if FL beyond 200mm is not a priority, you should really try the Sigma 50-200 OS. If it's as good as the original 55-200, then it's an amazing value. You can get it new today for $160. That's ridiculous.

I just buy in ebay a really cheap lens to wait for a good bargain (sigma 55-200 or pentax 55-300)I didnŽt have tele, but now for 14 euros can wait! (Super Travenar MC Auto Tele Zoom f4.5 80-200mm) i supose is not good but i saw a pair of pics and its not the worst! in ebay is a bid but is sigma for canon, but i think is complicated adapt the canon lens to pentax. It finish in 1 hour.

thanks
