Pentax 50-200mm

Where's the cheapest and most reliable place to get the 50-200mm online before rebate price? I want to get one next month sometime, but don't know If I'll get it before the rebate is over.

And how often does pentax have these rebates?

Abe's of Maine has it for 159.95 with the rebate:
Pentax SMCP-DA 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED Auto Focus Zoom Lens - abesofmaine.com/dev Cameras and Electronics

Prices are usually around this area.

Can somebody tell me what's going on here? Why are they showing 2 differents lens, and 2 different prices?

they have the same mfr# though. I'm thinking one is probably the cost with hood lens, and without.

It happens.

17th Strret Photo (17photo.com) also has it for $159.95 after rebate. I bought mine there with no problems.

I am glad that Tim had a good experience at 17th street. If you do some research they are not highly recommended by other folks. Apparently a lot of bait and switch tactics especially with cameras.
I have been using B&H for 10 years and have never had an issue. They are reliable and honest, though not always the cheapest. I can't recommend them highly enough!
I just bought the 50-200 last week. I have been amazed at how light it is; it is my first DA lens. It focuses quickly on my K10D and takes good pictures.

You must have them mixed up with another store. On Resellerratings.com they have a 10 out of 10 rating for the past six months and a 9.91 lifetime rating. I haven't bought a body from them but I did check out their rating on as many sites as I could find. With that said, your mileage may vary.

My fault. You are correct about 17th being well rated. I went back to check and it was 47th Street that got the less than favorable reviews. My apologies to 17th Street, they seem to be a stellar merchant. Thanks for setting me straight.
