With 4 ZK lenses and 2 modern Voigtlander PKA mount lenses I suppose I'm a bit of an oddity. But then I have a predisposition towards primes versus zooms and can zoom with my feet.
I also disagree that the ZK 25mm being a weak perforemer, can't comment on the 21mm but the 18mm is pure yum.

Because there apparently was no market for expensive manual-focus lenses in the K-mount.
CV SLR camera and lens releases in all mounts have been rather limited.
Most of the the SLR lenses languished on the Cameraquest site for years.

For the last decade Cosina has instead concentrated on 35mm rangefinder cameras and lenses.
Their Leica mount lens selection is extensive, and a real bargain compared to Leica glass.

There are a lot of us who prefer FF lens for two reasons. First lens performance is always the best in the center making them amazing on aps-c. Second we all hope and fully believe that one day Pentax will release FF dslr.
+1 there for sure.

And I still think the availability of Pentax MF lenses keeps several users away. Kept me from buying the 85 since I use to own the A*, the K 28 2.0 is the same as the older Zeiss 28 2.0 (which I own). The 25 is well known to be a weak performer. The 21 isn't that much better than the A 20 2.8. Everybody has a good old 50mm. All at lower prices...
I bought a CZ 85/1.4 for a lot less than an F*85/1.4 would cost (so maybe close to the price of an A*) ? Are you saying the K28/2.0 is the identical lens in every way bar the name to the CZ 28/2.0, which is supposed to be one of their best lenses (I have the 28/2.8 which is almost as good and a fantastic lens for a lot less)?

Yes, the K28/2 is the same as the famous Carl Zeiss 28mm f/2 Distagon 'Hollywood'. Check out my topic about this lens: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/60011-super-mu...-distagon.html

I think it's pretty clear where pentax is heading to. No FA limited lens in the next two years...

That is an urban myth and actually not true. If I can find the two lens technical schematics I'll post them - the configuration of the elements is quite different. I checked out Peter's link above and then went on to do further investigation .... that is when I came across someone who contested the assertion and posted the schematics to prove it.

BTW the Zeiss 28/2.8 is almost as good as the 2.0 (and much cheaper) and a great alternative at half the price (and MF), to the 31 Ltd. I think it was Lesmore on here who wrote an excellent comparison of those two lenses.
