For some reason, I was expecting shots taken with and without hoods to compare contrast and whatnot.

Hoods make the lenses look so much cooler.

That's like bragging about how far you can pee

Seriously, beautiful lineup. You forgot the hood on the right-hand lens :P

I'm guessing you're using those in manual mode only?

What did you use to take your picture?

Do you find the 24 and 31 to be duplicates in your kit or do they both have different purposes?

naaaah, just comparing different lenses

I didn't! If you look closely enough, you will see 2 empty filter rings stacked. That's as much hood as that lens usually gets from me. If absolutely needed, I can always add another 2 rings and then the hood which is on the FA100 in the picture. But in real life it's too cumbersome so usually the 31 is only with 2-3 empty rings...

yes, there is no other way, but to be honest, I don't remember when did I last time use any of them. I don't do much of a flash photography...

43ltd that I just sold and will be shipping tomorrow.

not really as I rarely use 31ltd. It's most of the time on K-x which belongs to my Mrs. It's a great lens but the only occasion I knowingly choose to use it is when I'm taking pictures of adults indoors. For outdoors it's just not my FOV and for my son I find it touch short. My main line up until few weeks back was 24+55, with those two I could have done just about all I wanted. Since the FA* zoom came, it sees a lot of use...
