Pentax-M 50mm 1.4 and 1.7

Has anyone used either of these lenses mentioned in the title? I saw that they both have 9 user ratings in the review section. I'd just like to see some photos taken with them.

Here's one with the M 50/1.7. It is a bit front-focused, but I love the luminous quality produced by the lens.

SMC M 50mm 1.7

Here's another one with a 50mm 1.7. This was the first day I used it and I'm still trying to learn how to use it better.

Alright, you asked for it.... M 50mm f1.4. I like the lens and the colors it gives. It is a little soft wide open, but not bad. Stop it down a few notches and it looks really nice. It's the first Pentax lens that I bought in 1980, and it's responsible for me still being a Pentax user today.

These ones are not the greatest, but they were easily found so I posted them. Most of these shots are wide open.

I'll stop now.

I was shocked at how clear and sharp the M50 1.7 is compared to the kit lens.

I just bought one off ebay (thankfully it's clean as a whistle), and tried it for the first time "for real" last week at the public pool as my Scouts were having a swim fun night.

Using only available light the photos came out absolutely awesome!

I just put a bid up for one. Hopefully, I'll get the same kind of results. I can't wait!

Well, there are similar models in each of the series. Would there be any significant difference between the Pentax-M, Pentax-A, and Pentax-F versions of these lenses, other than the AF in F version.

I'll be getting my M 1.7 in a few weeks, hopefully it's in good condition.

I just bought an M 50mm f1.7 today on EekBay. I hope it's a good one too.

The differences are f stop, build quality, AF, and most importantly price. Pick the one you can afford and you will not be disappointed.
