Money I don't have on things I don't need

Soooooooooooooooo

New DA*16-50 I like , am worried a bit about a bad copy. Suits my general shooting range very well

Used DA* 50-135 and DA*10-17 (for about $200 more than the DA* 16-50) - Two lens - Fisheye is something I would like to try - have not really heard a bad thing about the DA * 50-135 ?

If you were to get divorced over this decision which one ?

quick choice for me:

Used DA* 50-135 and DA*10-17 (for about $200 more than the DA* 16-50)

There are cheaper f2.8 standard zooms from Tamron or Sigma you could get later, with comparable quality.

Aye there in lies the title of the thread - I have it all covered actually and what I really want is a 70-200 which according to recent rumors Tamron will have one out in '08 maybe. Then again I would like one weather sealed lens and I think for a general lens I tend to like the wide end .... ummmm we'll see .

Can there any doubt... the DA* 50-135 is the one you should definitely go for.
The 10-17mm fisheye does offer a unique take on things but ask yourself this question, which lens is more versatile and more likely to be used? How many fisheye images do you see posted? Lots of people let go of their FE after the novelty wears off.

I don't post on this forum because I used my posting limit on lens reviews, but I post plenty FE elsewhere :-) And, at 17mm it has only very slight fisheye. It's my favorite lens and I find it indispensible at museums...

Of course, it depends entirely on what you want to shoot, and how.
