I could as well sell all other glass!

I am so happy about my FA* 85mm, I could just as well get rid of most of my other portrait lenses. It's a pity for the 77, the K 135/2.5 and the FA50/1.4, M50/1.2 and some zooms. I just never take off the 85 off my camera! Okay, I'll keep a 200, a 300 and a macro 35/2.8 for other purposes. FA*85 just cannot be beaten!

This is an example
of pics I took with that lens...

And this is another one!

I'm glad you're enjoying your lens. I could certainly see selling off the 77 and the FA50/1.4 considering your collection.

Welcome to the club of FA*85 owners. Where did you get your copy from.

Look at this thread https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/112168-there-t...-85-1-4-a.html and let us know wich of the three different version you own. (If you want).

Greetings Ron (Son en Breugel).

I am still not convinced I will keep the K50/1.2, though. I miss the autofocus of the FA 50/1.4 a little too much on that lens...

you should keep all. they will miss each other.
77 is tiny, for portability
FA50/1.4 for AF
135/2.5 for dimlight, ok this can go, no maybe not,
but keep K50/1.2, and others ;-)

I thought, let's take a look at pics I shot a little longer ago, last year. This is one of my favs: and yeah: again it's by that same 85mm!

It is here.

Somehow I have a feeling I could not have made a similar shot with another lens. That's why I love this lens so much.
