Just noting

Got an FA 77mm Limited last week, and inside was a note that stated Pentax was being renamed from Hoya to Ricoh. My copy must have been packaged very recently.

Is the Ricoh name anywhere on the lens itself?

At least it proves these are still being made. Feeding our vain hope for fullframe

It may also show how little stock they have, in terms of something this new showing up in the stores already

I think that is pretty typical of the FA Limiteds, though. They always go out of stock at all the retailers, and seem to be made in small batches.

I don't expect them to start using the full company name on their cameras and lenses. Kind of like how Chrysler cars weren't labeled DaimlerChrysler after the merger of Daimler-Benz and Chrysler.

No Ricoh name on the lens - just "Assembled in Vietnam" laser-etched at the bottom.

And the promise on the note that "We will continue to market a fine line of products under the familiar PENTAX brand to satisfy your demands and requirements."
