DA* 60-250mm likes leopards...

No actions shots (unfortunatly), but still a few nice pictures.
Shot in various places in Botswana.
We were also lucky with leopards in Zambia 2 years ago, I think my lens attracts them.

All shot with a K-5 / DA*60-250mm combo.

Have fun

= Bert

Excellent photos, what a treat. I would say #3 would count as an action photo.

You lucky bastard. I live in South Africa and that one is the one that's still missing from the Big 5

Nice shots and thanks for fueling my LBA; if a DA*60-250 is what is required, it has to be

I just bought one!

I hope this lens turns out to be part of my travel kit. If its good enough, I'm plannign to replace the 50-135 with this lens when I travel. paired with a 12-24 and a couple of small primes, this could be a winner.

I have to say the shots on this page helped me make up my mind. Thanks for fueling my LBA!!

Nice! I would like to go to Botswana again as well, truly a wonderful country!

Have just come back from Zambia - did see a couple of leopards, but only at night. Hard to get very good pictures in the dark, even with the K5 Think I got some keepers nevertheless.

Oh, and thanks for fuelling my Africa addiction

Yes, we did see our share of leopards in Zambia.
Here are a few pictures I've shown before.
I also like the one lion night shot.

Again, done with my DA*60-250mm, but with a K-7.
These were all taken in the Kafue NP.

Have fun,

= Bert

Lucky indeed.
We found leopards often in trees right at the road side.
All tree leopards I found myself, not our guide.
All others were tracked by the guide, looking at tracks and baboon behavior.

Leopards are very territorial. At night, they were rather "easy" to find with a strong light in Zambia.

Perhaps you should pay a visit, there are a lot of South Africans travelling around these countries with their 4x4 and a GPS...
