Definitely my Sigma 180mm EX macro. For WA the F35-105. The M50/1.7 would be the no brainer choice for a single lens (not owning the K50/1.2)

It's like asking a dentist which tool he would keep if he could only keep one. His answer would be: then I can't do my work.

Lenses are tools, and they all do different jobs.

Jeez Louise some of you guys need to take a chill pill and lighten up ... it's only a bit if fun for f$#$# sake ! Christ slit your wrists why don't you.

For me. At the moment the Sigma 30/1.4 because it is so ultra sharp and I can can use it in a ton of different situations. However next week I plan on buying the Contax Zeiss 35-70 and that is reputedly at Zeiss prime level IQ through it's range, if so then that would be the one !

Fun and silly question, but lately I've been favoring the DA35mm macro Ltd.
Last year it was the DA70mm Ltd., and prior to that the DA*50-135mm.

OMG my preferred focal length is shrinking! Why did I buy that 300mm!?

I'll flip this over and ask: Rather than cripple yourself photographically by dispensing with many vital tools, what is the SMALLEST and LIGHTEST kit you could carry?

I now have a 3-lens kit where each weighs around 100g, and I'm looking for a 4th. What I have: CZJ Tessar 50/2.8 (110g); Vivitar-LU 75/3.5 on M42 tubes (90g total); and Enna Tele-Sandmar 100/4.5 (110g). What I'll look for, when I have money again: I'm told that Ricoh and Vivitar had ultralight 28s, so I'll take one of those, please.

The goal is a kit weighing around 450g / 1lb or less, that I can stuff into a cargo pocket or belt pouch. What's the best that YOU can do?
