Which lens would you keep?

I was thinking this afternoon, if I could only keep one of my lenses which one would it be?

I found it quite difficult to decide, but think it would be my SMC A 1:1.7 50mm, or would it... aagh...

What one lens would other fourm members choose to keep from their kit bag?

I'd keep each of my 40+ lenses in their own bag. No way do I want to get it down to just one.

Maybe my 21mm Ltd - but it would drive me nuts not having my other lenses

FA*85mm/f1.4 would be the keeper.

Not to take the fun out of this but if I had to only have one lens I would sell the k-x and buy a bridge camera with 30x zoom.

My DA 16-45/4. I would probably be happier with a 17-70/4.

If it had to be a prime, I'd be OK with the FA 35/2.

Do you wonder why people buy X100?

This question pops up every now and then: IF YOU COULD ONLY KEEP ONE LENS, WHAT WOULD IT BE? And the answer is another question: If you only want one lens, why the f*ck did you buy an interchangeable-lens camera?!?

It's like asking: How much footwear do you own and use? If you could only keep one shoe|boot|sandal|swimfin, which one would it be? Kind of a silly question, eh? I don't wear snow boots at Mexican beaches nor Teva sandals at court appearances.

Lenses are like shoes: just one won't do.

It's a boring answer maybe, but my FA31 is my go to "got to get the shot" lens. It's not perfect, it has a few downsides, but it also has more magic in it than any other lens I own

I could just about stick my Lil'Bigma 170-500 into one of my USA size 18 sneakers.

Rico pretty much summed it up!

For me I would have flip a coin for DA*55 f/1.4 or FA77 f/1.8

For what purpose?
Too many good and useful lenses to choose from.
All my FA limiteds are indeispensible for their own reasons...
