Does anyone have a clue what the new DA lenses on the roadmap are expected to cost? I'm specifically interested in the DA35 & DA55 SDM. Even a ball-park figure within $100 would be very helpful. Are these going to be approx. $400 lenses like the DA21 & DA70, or are they likely to be more like $800 or $900 like the DA* zooms? Or perhaps somewhere in between?

What you're asking is premature. No specific release date on these lenses, how to guesstimate the recommended retail price, what more the street price?

The Pentax DA 35mm macro is said to be similar to the ugly looking Tokina AT-X M35 PRO DX. Now the Tokina lens was scheduled for release in Nikon and Canon mounts on 21 Dec 07 (tomorrow). However Tokina has just announced that the Canon mount versions will be delayed until late Jan 08 due to "problems with the focus system."

Given that, when do you think it will even appear in Pentax guise, not to mention the DA 55 SDM?
