Bought it. Offered them $150.00 they threw in an old wooden Kodak Tripod with the deal for $170.00. Whats this behemoth lens worth ? Just mounted it on my k7 and it works just fine. The glass looks good but there's a slight amount of dust particles inside.

Wow, wow, wow. I think you just stumbled into the bargain of a lifetime. I am incredibly envious, but I won't call you names or say that I hate you due to your good fortune. Enjoy your wonderful new piece, or if you decide to sell it, myself or many, many others would gladly give you far more than your investment to have it.

10 thousand pounds, are you serious? I have one, didn't get it for $150 but didn't pay anywhere near that much, either....

Should I sell it and put the money in my F80 M3 fund?

The internets are demanding photographic evidence! So, will you use your newfound wealth to buy a new car, or a fully fleshed full frame camera system? hahaha. I'm thinking deal of the decade, maybe the century!

Maybe 4000 euro or so?

You are one lucky man! Congrats on that. There is someone from Belgium seriously interested!

$10.000 is a strong exageration. One in Holland went for €2500 last year, another one in the UK for €3500. (about $4650, on the top of my head).

But otherwise it sounds like a dream I once had... oh wait, that was mightymike from here who found an FA*600 for $150 (maybe it was a 400/2.8... can't remember now).

No it was definitely a lot more than that. I'll try and find the information.

Sure do! Always possible that you've found a third one.
The buyer of the first one I mentioned, is even member of this forum.

I'd love to see proof of the lens as well, but if true, damn, that is a bargain!
