No; after 100+ good lenses, one starts looking for another 100+ lenses with (bad) character, odd optics, strange mounts, etc. Especially if bellows are on hand -- a universe of enlarger-projector-copy-process-etc lenses opens up. DOOM!
I do really mean after 100+ good lenses LBA slows down a bit, not stopped. That because I need to research off brand, faulty, modification, price range, reviews - here for me, I am in unknown area. And of course hope to save enough money for more expensive pieces.

And i just found out a way to exploid my bad/useless lenses: Apodization filter
Markus Keinath - DIY Apodisation Filter
Look at the super smooth bokeh of these modified (!)

Now as I have 10+ MF zoom lenses and multiple identical 135mm, 50mm and 28mm, it's time to make them useful.

I only need two more lenses to be completely cured of LBA.
Me too I just need 2 more lenses (only 1 of them a Ltd) to cure my LBA for now.

Edit: I forgot one
Make that 3. 3 more lenses to cure my LBA.
.ooh.. and a K-5 which I plan to use mostly and keep my K-7 as a second body after I fix its dodgy front e-dial.
Actually I was checking out a Fuji X10 the other day that might be handy.
Oh... and the O-GPS looks like a nifty accessory for star tracking.
But i'll also need a new tripod, my current one is a bit short and bit lightweight.
.ok..but that is all... 3 lenses, K-5, Fuji X-10, O-GPS and a new tripod. Then i'll be cured.

Name Change?

Now, let's face it, guys and gals. "LBA" sounds so...well, like it's a sickness or something ...bad. You know the old saying, "Never give a dog a bad name"?
How About:
"Equipment Aquisition Fervor"?
"Necesary Supply Input"?
"Department Of Procurement"?
"Retail Rhapsody"?
"Shipping + Receiving"? That's a good one!
Cameras and lenses take photographs; we're all photographers, right? So we need cameras and lenses.
Say you have two 135mm lenses and another one, a DIFFERENT one, comes up for sale at a good price. Will it make you feel better to buy it? OF COURSE IT WILL!!!! So, buy it.
Is there a law somewhere that says two lenses in the same focal length are the absolute maximum one person can own? No, there isn't.
Our forefathers didn't fight and die for our freedom just to see it stripped away by some silly notion that lens-buying is harmful. Won't the third 135mm lens have a calming effect on you? Doesn't it lower your blood pressure, reduce stress and clear your mind? If you fight the urge (need, actually) to buy it, don't you feel cranky, at odds, like you missed out on something important? Why are you doing these harmful things to yourself when there's a world of therapy waiting, just a few clicks away?
I'm a doctor, you can trust me.

Some poor pervs make up their own rules. My rule is: If I can afford it and I haven't run out of shelf space, get it.

"Out For Delivery"

Of course it would be acronized to OFD and end up sounding like another malady again anyway.

Not exactly, but hey, a job's a job, right?
Anyway, we all need more lenses, I'm just trying to rid us of any stigma or guilt about buying them. For the greater good, you understand.

Then there is this thread...that has also challenged my LBA "cured" status.

Again, a friendly warning. Do not go down this rabbit hole if you can't do the time.
