URGENT : Who wants a Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM ?

The purpose of this thread is only to count the Pentaxians interested in this nice lens that is currently only available in Canikon and Sigma mount for now, although it was initially announced for Pentax too.
120-300mm F2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM

As changing a mount should be neither complicated nor expensive for Sigma, it is important that Pentaxians prove their motivation and show a potential market for the lens manufacturer.

For the moment, there is no 300mm f/2.8 in AF version for Pentax, except the Sigma 300mm fixed focal ! But the 120-300mm is less expensive, has the same optical quality, is weather-sealed, has HSM and most of all is a zoom (you cannot be too close of an animal anymore). With a doubler, you obtain a splendid 240-600mm f/5.6, which is a superb competitor to the mythical Pentax FA* 250-600/5.6 ED [IF], but with 2kg less and a shorter minimal focusing distance.

So please, all of you interested here in long focals, make hear your voice ! When we get 1000 signatures, we will send it to Sigma. A market of $4700 x 1000 Pentaxians= $4 700 000 cannot be neglected !

Isn't this one of those lenses that sigma said "it'll come, but we're in ho hurry to make it in the Pentax mount"?

It would have to come with 1.4x and 2x multipliers for me to be interested. Also the price seems higher than the 300/2.8. I thought they were about the same price

i'd love to have one for when i shoot soccer, although i cant quite afford it just yet. so for now, i dont mind the wait

I've signed this petition, cause I'm also concerned with this kind of lens for nature photography. It's also the only option 'available' (i hope it will come) for Pentax users.

I just tracked down a 100-300/4 'cause Sigma jerked us on this one. But if it came out in K-mount I couldn't help myself...(provided TC's were compatible)

Even with the Pentax AF 1.7X, it would be great. My Tamron 60B is already great, the SIgma would probably be also.
