Difference Between Pentax 18-55 AL; AL II; & AL WR?

Are there any differences between these three lenses? Does one provide better color or sharpness than the others? Or are they the same (with the exception of Weather Resistance)?

I know there is a similar thread on this already, but when reading reviews on these lenses, some people claimed the WR provided better images than the other two. Not sure if there is any truth to this, or if people just feel they are better shots, and they're not really.

The latter two have the same (better) IQ, who whoever said the WR had better IQ must have just been too excited by the weather sealing. The original 18-55mm has worse IQ than the mark II. Check the lens reviews for details:

You've left one out and that's the DA-L18-55 AL which is the kit lens for the K-x and K-r. Optically the same as the AL II and AL WR.

So the AL that you're referring to is either the first version (as Adam indicated) or the DA-L version with no lenshood, no quickshift, no distance scale and plastic mount.

I live in a pretty dry area, would there be a reason to put the AL WR or the AL II on a wish list for the future?
