Just scored a A*300mm f4

It comes with a body and some other lenses. The price was really fair. I can't say if I'll keep it or just play with it a little and then pass it along, but I could not refuse the opportunity to shoot with that legend.

Can't wait for it to get here!

It's a good lens, and one well worth keeping. it's plenty small enough to pack around for those special occasions. Longlenses aren't every day users, but when you need them, you need them.

True. My FA 100-300 f4,7 (the good version ) serves, but it's lacking for anything coming close to fast action. I'm not sure I'd find that much use for the fast 300, I'll have to see for myself. The lack of AF means my wife won't use it, so maybe I'll save for a FA or DA 300 at some point (or maybe a 200 would be enough).
