LBA is killing me!!

Just got my s-m-c takumar 35mm f/3.5 in the mail... currently waiting on a 135mm f/3.5 to come in (tracking said it was expected today also, but it wasnt so maybe tomorrow, along with my ee-s screen).

Man this thing is awesome!! some of the reviews say its hard to focus, I have a split prism screen and its honestly the easiest lens (to focus) that i own.

a quick sample (the first pic i took with it with ZERO PP):

100% crop:

I REALLY want a 15mm and 31mm ltd lens, i cant afford either so im going crazy buying taks (which in my opinion so far are the next best thing)!!

figures i searched for about a week and a half before settling on this one... it is pristene and was about $30 less than that so Ill just have to settle for the mean time. The next lens in the 30mm range will be a fa 31ltd for me

eddie - I'm on the same buying freeze! But it's sooooo hard as I saw that tak too today. Anyway, hawk, welcome to the agony of LBA.

Looks like a good lens. A lot of the old wides are more highly rated in the 3.5 versions. that extra speed of a 2 would be really nice for street shots though

I just traded my 21mm LTD for a 40mm LTD and a few bucks.............my recent LBA is a Fuji X100 with 23mm that is wrapped under the tree as we speak......at least the X100 is fixed lens, so avoided future LBA with that camera

Oh this subject hurts! It is like AA club for LBA. I want to confess that...just a little while a go there was, is a conversation about this same thing on Single in december thread....well now I purchased a Tokina AT-x 20-35/2.8. Just because someone took great shots with one like for one month. Well I know what you mean. I'm cursed too. BTW my first tak was S.tak 105/2.8. It is superb, after that I got 35/3.5...

I looked at the Marketplace lens, and then at the Nikkor-O 35/2 (minimally modded for PK) that cost me US$48 shipped a few months ago, and I didn't feel a need to jump.

All of you should not limited to takumar or pentax glasses. Get the nikkor or the zuiko if they are cheaper, then with minimal mod, they should work with pk mount bodies
I have to admit that SR in pentax bodies is SO good on these 'off-brand' lenses.

And there is no help to cry out until all fund is gone.
