tele-converter troubles.

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help. I recently bought a k-5 and have been using a manual pentax super program with many different lenses. They all fit and work with the K-5... all except the 2x tamron tele converter that I have? Is there a way to use it? It is for pentax k mounts so I'm not sure why it doesn't work.... Any help would be appreciated as I use this all the time on my manual camera!?

Oh sorry, by not work I mean that after I attach it, It wont let me change apature, shutter speeds, etc. Everything just blinks... It does this in every setting (manual, automatic, Av, etc)

Sounds like you have an older TC without the electrical contacts and would need to set "Using Aperture Ring" to "Permitted" (MENU / C4 / 27). (see: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/1140022-post1.html).
