200 mm macro

Hello folks,

Yesterday I bought my first dlsr, the Pentax K100D. I mostly do macro work and would like to find a lens in the 180-200 mm range. So far all I've been able to turn up is the Sigma 180mm. Are there any more you know of? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

That's about it for current tele macro offerings. The 200/4 pentax lenses are very rare and expensive when found. There is a Voigtlander 180/4 "close focus" (K/A - manual focus) which is very nice, and you could add an extension tube to get closer. You can find that lens at

I don't know your status and requests, but I started with Tamron 70-300 1:2 Macro. The macro is from 180 to 300mm. But is cheap lense and only 1:2. Also the sharpness is good (not excelent) only in good light conditions.
