Anybody accomplished an infinity adjustment on this lens - Takumar 35mm F2 49mm edition?

I removed the bezel to use the "normal" Takumar infinity adjust procedure and discovered a different mechanical construction. The front lens is secured only by the bezel and may be removed with the bezel!

No! this is not just because the securing screws are missing - it doesn't have any means of using such screws.

Anybody had experience with this lens - will much appreciate you sharing that with me!

I've only adjusted infinity focus on an F 70-210, so I can't help you here...

Figured it out by myself - the adjustment is basically the same as for the other Tak's - just a difference with the front element group. Adjustment is tricky because you can easily jam up the blades (which I did do until I figured out what was happening.

This lens (Takumar 35mm F2, non SMC) is a wonderful lens and I'm very happy to have it focusing correctly - it will get lots of use.
