I always thought SDM would be the bane of my DA* 16-50mm...

However, a few seconds after taking this shot,

the little brat manages to topple over my tripod while I'm adjusting the light, resulting in this,

In addition, the wireless flash trigger and the focusing screen on my camera broke...

Too bad he's so cute, it's hard to stay mad at him

Too bad! I feel your pain -- kids can be hard on gear (not just the camera variety).

Great shot though!

What a cute little boy. Sorry to hear about the camera but it's your fault mate and any risk you take is your own responsibility.

Incidents like that
make $100 per year for insurance
look like a really good investment.

Great shot, though!

Do yourself a favor and get rid of that 16-50 anyways. I shot one wedding with it and it had to go... Pentax should not let their flagship zoom be pretty much useless wide open.

Eeeww... That looks bad. Maybe you should have had a little more sturdy tripod??

Hope you had insurance.

Thanks Yeah, of course it's all my fault, I'm just glad the camera didn't hit him in the head when it all came crashing down!

Thanks, very pleased with the pictures! Now I just have to decide on a new normal zoom and new flash triggers, I have some thinking to do.

It is like the old pelican case warranty. Warranty invalid if case is subject to fire, hurricane, tornado, earthquake, and small children.
