Kiron 70-210mm f4 query

I have just purchased a Kiron 70-210 f4 with Zoomlock. Brilliant lens.

The question relates to the two rings...to be honest I am unsure how these are used and how to get macro . I have worked out infinity, but it is the first time I have encountered a lens with the two rings like this.
Is possible someone could explain these for me? I so far haven't been able to find any info about using the lens.

Cool! Is this the lens you've got?

If so, then the big ring controls both the focus and the zoom. Rotate it to focus and slide it to zoom. The small ring is the aperture ring, which you have to use to set your aperture. If you are a beginner, you could actually leave it set to F8 or F6.7 all the time and you'd probably be fine.

Here are instructions on how to meter with manual lenses:

Thanks for the advice - I should have explained that I have been into photography for about 10 years and have the aperture, focus and zoom sussed . It is just the 2 extra rings on the Kiron that i haven't encountered before. From playing around, I think the outer ring furtherest from the aperture ring limits the focus. Still unsure about the inner (closest to the A-ring) Macro ring.
