New to me

Are there different thread mounts. The reason I'm asking is at the thrift store I picked up a 105 f2.5 lens for 5.00 came home and it seems it won.t go on my spotmatic all the way. But a rear lens cap will also can I just put an adaptor on it and use the lens with my K100d. Or will there problems. In all my years of film photography never new there were other mounts. Thank You

There are a few lens out there that have a different thread pitch than the standard Pentax m42.Sounds like a nice lens if you can find a k mount adapter for it.Wouldn't try to force it on a Spotmatic.

I was going to say that I have an Accura Diamatic 28/2.8 in M42 mount, no problem. Then I read your second post. YS is a 'universal' mount system similar to T-, T2-, T4, TX-mounts. Here is a reference: YS Interchangeable Adapter Mounts, Y-S lens mount. To use that lens, you'll need a YS-PK adapter. I don't see any listed on eBay right now. I don't know if any T-mount adapters would fit. Good luck!

Yes the lens is super clean. I have a bower adaptor gonna try it on the K100d. I thought for 5.oo bucks can't go wrong. I'll try the local camera shop and see if he's got the proper mount. Thanx folks this site is great.
