Sirius 28-200mm zoom lens 1:4-5.6 pentax screw fit

I have just won this lens for the extortionate price of £0.99. What adapter will I need to get it on a K7? Does anyone have any experience with one of these? I only bid a quid to get the auction started but no one wanted it..

Ah it's an M42. Still would like to know if anyone has used one though.

What is the serial number on this lens? We might be able to determine the maker from that.

You'll need a Pentax K/M42 adapter. Make sure you get one that allows infinity focus. Quite a number available, but there's a view that Pentax own brand are the best if more expensive.

I haven't actually received it yet, a search on google came up with this:

'USA {marketed under Sirius and made by Samyang in Korea] 28-200mm Zoom with fabulous macro mode which works at all focal lengths and can focus within 3 inches of the end of the lens. This classic piece of "Heavy Metal" is big, heavy, offers an increible range, 42-300mm on a Pentax DSLR.'

A lot of people also saying it's best used as a door stop :L

Hmmm, Samyang's shorter zooms (80-200) of that era were OK. I've never heard of this longer zoom. Maybe it's good for crushing muskrats?
