Just Scored an Auto Takumar 135mm F3.5 Preset (black and silver)

I just won an Auto Takumar 135mm F3.5 Preset, the black and silver one, for $20.00! It looks to be in great shape and comes with original caps and brown leather case.

From what I can find on this lens, it looks to be a good landscape and portrait lens.

After now buying 4 Takumar Presets in about as many weeks, I think I'll take a break. I haven't really spent much money in total on them (only around $200 total), but I can see that I'm getting addicted to the LBA

Wow, that's a helluva win! Use it in good taste, eh? And many other presets! Can we rub your head for good luck? I love these guys; they deliver images that just aren't produced by modern lenses. That's due to coatings (or lack thereof) and iris placement and number of iris blades. They don't make 'em like that any more. As for LBA: Remember that it means Lens-Buying ADRENALINE! The rush of buying great glass. Oh, Ah swoons...

Oh yeah: What are the other presets? Just so we can drool...

I picked up the Takumar 135 f/3.5 (black and silver) of this lens a few weeks ago. It is a very small lens but is capable of some great photos. The preset is a neat idea and makes more fun when composing photos. Have fun and enjoy!

I posted this image when I received my other two Presets last week.

Here are the ones I have on hand so far, the Tele-Takumar 200mm F5.6 Preset, the Takumar 200mm F3.5 Preset, and the Tele-Takumar 300mm F6.3 Preset

RioRico, I'm not sure if you have seen it yet, but I made a Preset Lens Club over in the Lens Club forum. As I said, I'm kind of on a Preset Binge at the moment Come on over and show us your Preset examples! https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/lens-clubs/172417-preset-lens-club.html

Great Photo Glen! I've wanted a shorter Preset for some Landscapes and Portrait photos, and at $20.00 I couldn't pass on the deal for the 135mm. I have a 35mm Preset I'm looking at now , but it isn't a Takumar.

So that was you Beautiful lenses and felicitations of the day!!

I have the Auto-Taks (with the lever to set the shutter) and the correct caps but no cases.
  • 35/3.5
  • 55/1.8 Zebra
  • 135/3.5 (all black)
to go with my K.

I think I have enough (of everything) and much as I like all the accessories I think I'll just shoot them.

I actually just received a new K lens and DIDN't buy the all-black cap from KEH this time. First time for that.

Stop the lens porn!

I must resist the urge to create new daily searches on e(vil)bay!

Glad you guys enjoyed my sample photo of the Takumar 135 f/3.5 preset that I posted above. I picked up 7 Takumars in the past 2 months so I guess I have a Takumar addiction too.

Well, my $20.00 Takumar 135mm F3.5 Preset lens arrived. It is like new! Looks like it was bought, then put away and never used for 50 years. I can't believe I lucked into it for only $20.00.

I'll be sure to add some sample pictures when I take them.

Here are a couple of pictures of the lens itself. I think this is the most beautiful (if a lens can be beautiful ) lens I have seen so far, perfectly designed and extremely small for a 135mm.
