It's discontinued.

This is the SLR version of the DA 10-17 DSLR lens. It's a very good lens on both a film body and digital body. I really like mine.

Well, since the question's been answered I figured I can hijack this thread since its sort of related anyway :P

What's the difference between FA and F series? I looked at Pentax K-Mount Lenses Explained: The differences between various Pentax lens series and Pentax Lens Terminology from what I understand the only difference is that one F has power zoom.

I am pretty sure that the FA lenses convey some information to the camera about their own MTF scores that the F lenses cannot. This allowed the use of a Program mode on certain bodies that would prioritize the best possible aperture for sharpness. I am not 100% that this difference is uniform, nor that it is the only difference, though.

Actually, the F* 250-600mm doesn't have power zoom (we've corrected the page).

The only difference thus that some FA lenses have power zoom, and they look cooler. Also, I believe their electronics are upgraded so you can use the MTF program line.
