I have the 16-45 and it is a stellar performer.. I want a faster wide-angle and was nearly about to purchase the DA 14 but, hearing the news of a DA* super-wide has me on the fence now... Any speculation as to what it will be?

I think they are referring to the fact that tokina announced an 11-16 f2.8 for canon/nikon, so the assumption is that pentax may release this as the next DA* zoom to compliment the 16-50 and 50-135.

Oh man, an 11-16 would work well for me. Weather-proof is nice but, not manditory. Looking forward to seeing the reviews on this.

Others have mentioned some Canadian stores, Don's, Henrys, Visteck, Camera Canada and also McBains in Alberta.

I have bought from Henrys, local and internet, and Camera Canada. Some times one has a better price than the other, so its always good to check.

I tend to avoid Vistek, as the sales people there can be pretty rough on people who ask, what they think, are silly questions. I walked out of a $1000 sale of a used Bronica just for that reason.

Which one so many choices

Indoor: Pentax FA 50mm f1.4 Checked out this lense and a few post what sharp results :P Will get this one..

Wildlife: Sigma 100-300 EX f4 sounds great. But I am thinking about the 50-500 sigma.. Hmmm Which one.. Will need to know both the pros and cons of both. Plan to pdotograph birds, squirrels, deer, Beavers and other wildlife... maybe there is someting better down the line..Should I pick one up soon or wait..?

Wide Angle: Pentax DA 12-24 OR wait for the unannounced DA * wide angle if cost is no concern. Think i will wait for the wide angle one..

The 50-135 weather lense sound's great, read what people had to say, and checked out some sample photographs taken with the lense...What do you think..

I've only had my DA* 50-135 for a few weeks, but have shot it in the Cascade mountains and around Seattle with very satisfactory results in the cold and the wet. Autofocus is quick and quiet, the optical performance is sharp, clean, and colorful, and the build quality, as well as the handling, is pro-caliber. No complaints, and I'm enjoying it more each time I take it out!

I think so. I am like you, but not at first. I was buying bargain priced lenses and old used inexpensive lenses. I finally gave up and decided to go for quality. I am glad that I did. I got my Bigma last week and went to the zoo a couple days after receiving it.

Here are some sample photos I took at our local zoo in this thread:
