Why don't you check out bhphotovideo or Adorama, as they have it for 469.00 right now.

I have a $50 Amazon gift card from my birthday earlier this month, and I'm also in the Amazon Prime Student trial so I would get free 2-day shipping. If it doesn't go back down by tomorrow morning I guess I'll order from bh.

I think I'm going to wait and try to find the Tamron or older Sigma, for their flexibility. The Zenitar is so very tempting because of the price, but I don't think I'd really be happy for long with a fisheye - I'd like one someday, but I'd use it far less than a rectilinear, so I'd rather cover that first.
There are situations where the Zenitar can't be beat. Consider the fairly low price, and that it's faster than anything else in the vicinity that doesn't cost much more. I love it for indoor-group shots where I don't mind the edge distortion and want/need the extra speed. I'm thinking of pizza-parlor gatherings, etc where I can shoot handheld at 1/8 second or slower.

And the Zenitar is fairly spectacular as a vertical 'scape lens, to really emphasize that dimension. Its fishiness can be greatly de-emphasized with careful composing. Even though I now use the Tamron 10-24 more, I'd never give up the Zenitar.

The Samyang does look excellent, but the Tamron/Sigma aren't that much more (especially with the Tamron's $50 rebate right now!) and are much more flexible.
I got my Tamron just over a year ago, when they had a US$100 coupon. Mine cost US$375 shipped. Such a deal! That and the K50/1.2 for US$250 were my big splurges for the year.

I've mentioned Sigma's QC issues. We see reports that many contemporary consumer-grade Sigma lenses are returned by unhappy users. I didn't buy a used Sigma 10-20/3.5 just because of their known QC problems, and because defective used lenses are hard to return. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that whatever UWA you decide upon, buy it from a seller with a no-questions return+refund policy.
