Newbie Lens Q: 35mm K1000 lenses work with K-7 or K-5 DSLR?

My husband wants to start shooting with a DSLR (K-7 or K-5). Previously he's only worked with K1000 35mm. Will the K1000 35mm lenses he has work with a DSLR K-5 or K-7?

Sorry if this is a dumb question... I'm trying to surprise him for his birthday.

Yes they will - one of the great things about the Pentax system is the backwards compatibility with the older lenses. Plus they will benefit from the in-camera shake reduction. There's a few basic rules, however - take a look here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-beginners-corner-q/110658-using-ma...x-dslrs-f.html
