What is out there for a compact tele near 200mm?

Would like to buy a VOIGTLANDER APO-LANTHAR 180 mm F/4. But they are hard to get. Is there any other tele near its class that is almost as compact?

Would be nice if Pentax made a 180 LTD like the Voigt!

I'll endorse Adam's suggestion.

The M200/4 makes a good "consolation prize"
when you can't get a Voigtlaender Apo-Lanthar 180/4.
At less than one tenth the price and twice the length,
it's a useful lens if you want more edge-to-edge sharpness
than a lighter consumer zoom can offer.

I've got the M200/4. Very underated IMO. An absolutely cracking piece of kit with it's own built in hood

I've also got the K200/4. It's a little bit bigger and no hood.

IQ and resolution are identical on my two

Or the M150 3.5.

The Tamron 180 macro or the Sigma 180 macro are bulky but less expensive than the Voigt. And the IQ is on par.

Another M User!

A third vote for the M 200mm f/4.0. Fast enough for outdoor shooting, solid glass and metal like they don't make' em anymore and sharp as a razor.
The built-in lens hood is a machining work of beauty itself. Focus throw is smooth and slow, just what's needed for MF.
Usually less than $100.00 USD on eBay.
It's the tall one on the top right;
Ron

The M42 Takumar 200/f4 is a great lens imo. The 150 as well, very sharp. Think there's one in the market place now.

I was going to vote for the M150/3.5. Very nice lens with the built-in hood and everything. I think there was one for sale in the marketplace recently for a decent price, too. It's an odd focal length, but I quite like mine.
