FA 31 ltd built in FF hood

Does anyone here use an additional hood on th FA 31 Ltd to increace contrast, reduce flare. The built in hood is meant for FF and using an aps-c camera I should be able to find a hood with better coverage.

Looks good! But I cannot imagine the way to mount it. Would you be so kind as to deal in detail on the issue.

I bought the same hood... it works fine. There are actually two parts of that hood, the top portion with label "for Panasonic FZ18 58mm" will fit into the 31mm filter thread perfectly as it has a straight-up tube. The other part of that hood can be used for a 52mm filter thread lens. Some people use another method to stack up several 58mm filters (without the glass), but this solution looks better.

there are other threads on this topic and a few different solutions.

i use a 58->49mm step down ring and a metal 49mm good which works very well and extremely inexpensive.

I stacked 3 empty filter rings on mine and have even attached a short rubber hood at the end without vignetting. It makes the lens looks like it's swallowing 3 whole filters from the side which I find to be a bit funny.
