I think its not just about collecting, though. The problem is that Pentax right now is ignoring certain focal lengths, so as people already mentioned, if Pentax made new 24mm, 28mm, 85mm and 135mm lenses, that would stabilize the cost of the older ones. And the other thing is, people really like the film-type rendering, more than the modern "DA" rendering (which have sharper images, harsher bokeh, more contrast, more controlled aberration..). We live in an instagram world, so vintage lenses are now getting a special value of their own.
Oh, and I also think a lot of vintage Pentax lenses are getting snagged by other brands. Canon users, people who use adapters and mirrorless cameras.. these things didnt exist some years ago, but now they are very popular.
