Hey, how come there is not a 85 mm lens club?

Hello everyone,
I was just curious that with all the lens clubs out there, there isn't one for 85 mm lenses of all makes. Although Pentax doesn't currently make one, there are at least nine vintage 85 mm lenses from Pentax, a jupiter-9 85, helios 85, and three presently made from Zeiss, Sigma, and Samyang. I know that people use them for portraits, but what are some of the creative uses for the 85mm lens?

Good idea! May be you should start one up. I am sure there will be lots of great portrait to share.

I use 85mm regularly for 3/4 static shots of vehicles, more so than portraits.

I made a social group for FA* 85mm users...but I guess that doesn't cover all the other lenses! In any case, IMO it is the best FL.

Definitely need one. 85mm is a great working length for people and events.

And I'm there but now as there are 2 affordable alternatives, it is too much restrictive.

Can you just change the name of the group to 85mm. It would be good for people to post pictures to compare IQ (sharpness, contrast, bokeh, color) of the different 85mm options.

I'm in, with my trusty M 85mm f/2.0. Great small size, nice bokeh and superb handling. Maybe(?) not the sharpest 85 but a fine lens.
