Tamron 85-210 macro?

I found on eBay a Tamron 85-210/4.5 macro lens but couldn't find this lens in the database here. Anyone know anything about this lens at all? Good budget zoom macro? Avoid it like the plague?

Seems to be a CZ-210. Discontinued in 1978 and replaced with better optical designs in the 70-200mm range as AD-2 and SP lenses. Unless you're interested in really old MF zoom lenses I'd pass on this as the later lenses can be had for little more and will have better coatings and compatibility with DSLRs. Full functioning MAY be limited with PK/A adapters.

I have one, and I find it very useful and flexible. No extending zoom and a genuinely good 1:3 reproduction ratio with a constant F4.5.

It is a good budget lens for sure if you're up for MF.
