The M20/4 is a fine lens, and it's tiny! Renders colours beautifully.

Why not even Nikkor 20 3.5? It fits Pentax
That's right
I was close to get the nikkor too. It was in very bad shape, and the owner said it has strong field curvature and I can have it for 100 euros

If it is in good condition it is one of the best 20mm for SLR ever made!!!

sorry nick, just looking for a little prime lens, I'm sure the 20-35 is awesome, but I've got that range covered by zooms a couple times over!
Yeah, but you had the Sigma 20/1.8 in there. I would carry the FA20-35 over the Sigma all day any day - smaller, lighter and better. I don't have any experience with the other lenses, because I won't need them as long as I have this one. Or until it develps haze. (fingers crossed). Anyway, good luck in your search!

You might want to give a SMC Pentax-A 15mm F3.5 a try, not tiny but very wide on FF and it's rectilinear too.

Yeah, it's in the "Too big" category! Thank you for the 20-35 recommendation though.

It really fits? Because there are plenty on ebay going for less than any of the other lenses in this thread!

I'll make a note of it in the "Too big" column

I have K20/4....it is not huge, on contrary it is very well balanced on K-5 body. Another advantage is that it takes 58mm filters....but if you like to go for compact ones....Olympus Zuiko 21/3.5, i had one -it is really good, takes 49mm filter, but needs to be converted. Another one to consider is also M20/4. Zuiko and M20/4 are quite expensive though, maybe just go for voigtlqander or da21....you'll get the new lens, full compatibility. FA20/2.8 and A20/2.8 are usually sold for price that makes da21 good deal - unless you need Fullframe.

Partly true, but it can be modified by changing mount and add a 1mm metal washer. Non ai-s nikkor can be force fit with 5-8mm turn, but no click in lock hole.
Another method is using the Dremel, but I won't recommend by several reasons: (1) Lens value reduced to zero. (2) Need training. (3) Not nice result. (4) Respect for other legacy lenses - we don't want others to chop K lenses to use with other bodies.

wait around for the limited zoom on the lens roadmap? hopefully that will be quite small and very good image quality if it follows in the footsteps of the other limiteds.

probably won't be FF compatible - but who knows- maybe the FF will be released at around the same time

Thanks for all the help, I just put in an order to HKBNS for the Voigt ($480) seeing as how the M 20mm I was watching on ebay went for $340! (and the even older/bigger 20mm f4.5 super-tak is sitting at $265 with 2 hours left)

Good choice
Welcome to the Voigt obsession club RXrenesis8! I started with the CV Nokton 58/1.4 SLII, then last year I exchanged my DA21Ltd for the CV Color Skopar 20.3,5 SLII. Now I am racking my brains to decide if I have the budget for the CV APO Lanthar 90/3.5 SLII

Just sharing some shots with the CV20 and my old and trusty K200D. It will give you an idea of the color rendering and IQ you will enjoy. Hope you like it

Looks awesome, I'm looking forward to it! What is the appeal of the APO Lanthar 90/3.5 SLII by the way?

I've been a voigt-lover for awhile now though. I got the 180/4 right before I moved last summer and it's worked out pretty well for me so far!

That lighthouse shot is just incredible!!

I'm thinking of getting the CV APO-Lanthar 90/3,.5 SLII to complete my landscape/creative abstracts set of lenses (20/58/90). Of course I'd prefer the legendary 125 or 180 but they are just wayyyy too expensive for me

So I'll stick with the more economical 90/3.5.

Why not something like this? Or is the allure of the dark side too strong?
