I was guessing the new voightlander lenses were probably planned and contracted prior to the Zeiss agreement.

I think that is why they sold out of the other 125mm run and the 180 I believe are close to or sold out. I imagine once the factor hits it quota on the new lenses it will be the last we see for a little while.

They might be upgrading the factory for the Zeiss lenses, so running it to produce the voightlander lenses at same time probably offsets some of the overhead and maybe even brings in a little profit until they fully devote to Zeiss, we will probably never really know the details.

Voigtlander 125 PK-A/R
Does anybody know why some of the lenses are only PK-A without "R"??
Because I got the one with just PK-A without "R"???

The "R" refers to Ricoh. Lenses with compatibility for the older and discontinued Ricoh cameras might have a larger rear flange that might prevent the lens from being mounted on current Pentax DSLRs. This might require manually cutting away part of the rear flange. PK-A is the correct one.
