Just got back from our holiday in Florida. I used the 18-135 almost exclusively, a terrific walkabout lens IMO.

Great pictures!

I just returned from a trip to Iceland. This lens is on my camera the most and rarely disappoints me and it's sharpness/price is more than adequate for my skill level. Love it, hope they bring out a longer tele-zoom (as on roadmap) to pair with this lens.

Nice Iceland shots! I'd love to get up there one day.

This was from a trip to Boston last week.

Sometime you find stuff you weren't expecting, this is the lens to have when that happens.

Excellent images in these posts. But I may need to ask you folks to stop posting - you're really agitating my LBA! And now I feel an urge to visit Walt Disney, Iceland, Boston, Colorado, and wherever QCdude went!

Of course - the images reflect the photographers' skills. The lens seems to play its part very well, though. Thanks for the inspiration.

This is silver lake in the Cascade Mountains. It's a bunch of shots stitched together. The 18-135 is the widest lens I have and it does admirably @18mm.

I am so glad that I bought this lens with my K5ii. It's very flexible and has allowed me great latitude for experimentation and learning while it was the only K mount lens I owned for a few months.

Hi Craig,

glad my images make you wanting to visit those places. This is one of good reasons why we take pictures. Thank you. This lens seem to be pretty good performer despite the fact that PZ gave it low score - I guess the guy just got a bad copy, or Ricoh have already improved it? I'm pretty selective on optics, still this glass doesn't disappoint me at all. It might sometime look a bit pricey, but being sold as a kit lens together with Pentax bodies it can be very good deal, i.e. like here: PENTAX K-30 D-SLR W/18-135 WR (BLACK) 15635

And among the places I went to and enjoyed I would also strongly recommend to visit Cape Breton, NS, especially this path http://goo.gl/maps/K7LF6 , including Cabot trail, Louisbourg citadel, etc. The part of this loop starting from Margaree Harbour to Cape Smokey is heaven for landscape photographer.
I also dream to visit Grand Canyon AZ, Colorado, etc.

QCdude,

Thanks. Actually, I took a longer look at your Google+ postings - very nice sets there. My wife and I took a 10-day jaunt earlier this month around Nova Scotia including Cape Breton Island. I don't have an 18-135 lens, but managed well with several primes and the 50-135. Fortunately, we had good weather, so WR was not essential. When I finish post processing, I'll post selected images. See the "K Club" for a taste.
