The 28-200 even where it overlaps the 18-135 isn't nearly in the same league.

I'd get the 18-135 than the Tamron. It's a good lens. Very minimal flare and quick to focus. It's a 27-202.5 basing on FF equivalent. An ideal walk around lens. I think the Tamron your referring to is a FF lens. 28 being the wide end and 200 on the long end. However, as stated by others if you'll use it on APSC, your wide end will be 42. That's not wide enough for a walk around lens.

When I shot film my walk around was only slightly wider, as I used the F 35-135. My "eye" was different then, I was less into wide angle shots.

35-135 is not a bad range. That would be like a 24-90. 35mm full frame is a semi-wide as what we used to categorize them before. I used to carry a 28 and a 35-70 on the lower end during the film days. Your 35-135 is better than mine.

That's a nice image, especially with the little shadows in the sand and the nice colours.

Love that '55 Buick (if only it were a 2-dr hardtop!) - and that mustache is cool, too

nice image there Paul.

I remember a few years back there was a fuss about the 18-135 not being good enough, well I don't know what the fuss was about, it seems a great lens, quite happy with mine for general use, sharp as.
+1 on that!
Best.
