I had this experience.

NIKON E5700
f/2.9, 0.048 sec (1/21), ISO 100, 10.7 mm (more)
my K-30 has failed when I was taking pictures being on the boat "Maid of the Mist" inside that cloud at Horse Shoe Niagara fall

The lens 18-135 WR was OK though.

The funny thing that K-30 was working OK until we arrived to the wharf.
I also had a ticket for Skylon 350ft Tower and plan to take serial of shots to create panorama, but my bad luck has ruined this plan. Apparently water has accumulated in some kind of cavity on the camera body then made its way to the circuit later. BUT 24hrs later my camera has magically resurrected ) I guess the humidity has evaporated natural way. I've contacted Ricoh Canada and they suggested to send it for inspection. I've made detailed description where and how has it happened then sent it through the photo store where I bought it last summer.
They are being assembled in Vietnam, so I guess it is a qc issue. I hope to have my K-30 back before Xmas. Let's see for the final of this story.

Here you can check more pictures of that Niagara trip.

I hope it will back well
Yes, unfortunately their qc isn't like before. but it's good to have this covered by guarantee.

BTW, I used mine in humid weather of Malaysia and Thailand under rain, and had no problem so far. and I was very happy because of this, actually during my last trip to Thailand when rain caught us several times, and I had no problem with it.

I was away for a few days and when I got back it was snowy here! So what can I do about it but go skiing?
So I packed up my gear and the K-3 with the 18-135 on it and headed out.
On my way to the trails I had to stop and grab this shot of a bald eagle.

The view up the valley as I climbed the trail.

The payoff, some decent (if a little thin), mellow powder turns back to the car.

Here's another one when the rain was just stopping.

Took the K-3 & 18-135 backcountry skiing this morning. This is why I like WR.

hi.
thanks.
Yesterday I've received it back. They have cleaned the sensor and focusing screen, uploaded the latest firmware, lol, I could do it myself, and the cleaning could be done by my dealer on the spot. But those canadian Ricoh "hardworkers" didn't do a heck to inspect the sealing why did it leak through... So I'm left with my thoughts what WR does really stand for? Did I expect too much from it or was it just poorly assembled copy? I.e. I saw a message somewhere here, a guy was saying his k-5 has failed in the rain.
