DA18-135 on K10D - I missed focus on the foreground, but I kind of like the smoothing effect on the sand!

I like it too!

A couple at the long end, on the KP. The jet is an extreme crop. Can anyone identify the carrier?

Wow! I live on the ocean and I've never seen so many seagulls so close together! Did you bait them with food?!?! (Nice shot, Paul! Love the B&W rendering too!)

Thanks Work crews were doing some dredging at the beach that day, so I imagine the gulls were taking advantage of all the unearthed goodies...

Thanks to this thread, along with recommendations on my own thread, I just bought this lens used from the Marketplace (along with a DA* 300 + 1.4X TC) to replace my original DA L 18-55 and 55-300. Today I wandered around my front yard with both to get a feel for them. It was a rather dull day and my yard had nothing terribly exciting - some tiny finches, but I used them to test the 300 + TC. So I did some plant photos just to see how I liked the sharpness and bokeh of the 18-135 and I'm quite happy with it. Seems I got a good copy. Not much heavier than my 18-55 and WR is nice. These are straight out of the camera JPEGs.

Hi wem59, if you click the photo, you'll be taken to his Flickr page. There you will see the photos were taken with a K-3.

Thank you. As paulh indicates, I am using a K-3. I have it on the "vibrant" color setting with +1 saturation.
