Dollar Cove, Gunwalloe, on The Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall

"Flats with a view" overlooking Porthmeor Beach, St. Ives, Cornwall - An evening view.

Porthmeor Beach Cafe immediately above the beach, Tate St. Ives to the left of the flats, and Barnoon Cemetery behind and to the right of the flats. Part of the cemetery was used in the making of the film "Raise the Titanic".

I guess Tsammas are some sort of pumpkin? The composition is quite nice, with the round shapes of the Tsammas contrasting with the background.

Both are very nice indeed and that looks like a great spot, a very scenic river.

Two nice images, Richard! I'm juyst wondering, did you use a flash on the wild flowering plant? I'm struggling to underdstand the light in that.

Here's an image of a waterscrew on the dry, taken during a drizzle, though.

Hello Hans, how are you !

Yes, I used flash on the close-up of the wild "flowering plant". It was late in the day (around 20h00) and the low sun created uncontrolable shadows and gave bland colors. The flash supposedly shows the "true colors" (5500 K) of a subject and the camera governs the exposure without me having anything to decide, but the composition of the image. I took 6 different versions and I estimate this is the best one.

Regards
