The giant snowblower taking down the snow medians we get during storm cycles.
Ahem. I guess 'giant' is a relative term. Those front-end loader mounted snowblowers are the smaller units in this area. The larger units are made by Sno-Go of Oshkosh, Wisconsin and have roughly double the intake size. They don't mount to another vehicle because they ARE a vehicle.
For what it is worth, the seasonal snowfall on the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan (the part that sticks out into Lake Superior) is so far, over 250 inches / 6.35 meters, and we aren't even close to being done.
It is because of this massive equipment that driving around here in the winter is actually easier than in most areas of the United States that get snow (or worse, ice). I just returned from visiting family down in the Detroit area and frankly, I don't know how they make through winters there.
