I just got this lens last week, along with a new K-30, in preparation for an ALaksa cruise in June. I'm really liking it! Here's one from a walk on local beach under the Tacoma Narrows bridge(s). The full image is sharper, this was just tossed up as an attachment rather than putting the full image up somewhere.

I heard some guys were (stand-up) surfing this big wave but by the time I got out of work they were done.
So instead I had the pleasure of watching these two. I think that's a pool toy and the river water was probably snow this morning. Brrr!

Yeah!

Noooo!

Ahhhh!

It's SO cold! I've paddled my kayak this time of year and if I roll it's an instant ice cream headache. I also wear a dry suit and still freeze. These two are definitely risking hypothermia.

At best, serious shrinkage and really hard nipples. I've had trouble moving my fingers to get into a rescue boat this time of year, (Sort of hooked my frozen fingers over the side of the boat and used them like hooks) but I didn't go in intentionally.... but hey... it takes all kinds.

Tokyo Skytree and Kameido Tenjin

Today I visited Kameido Tenjin which is a shrine in Tokyo famous for its wisteria festival. Behind the main hall Tokyo Skytree soars way over it.

Cross posted in K-3 images and the Post Your Photos thread.

K-3 and DA 18-135, @ 5.6 or 8, 100 ISO and Aperture priority.

The combination of versatility and IQ of this lens is hard to beat.

Had a partial solar eclipse down in Adelaide, SA, Australia today.
Had a gloomy wet morning so I wasn't sure if it'd clear up enough to see the eclipse. Anyway, turned out pretty nice in the afternoon so I got a nice shot of the sun, with a drifting cloud nearby
Didn't have a solar filter or any welding glass on hand. Stopped it way down to f25, 1/8000 at ISO 80 on my K-5.
Pretty happy with the results!

Haven't been active much on these forums lately but I recently bought a DA 18-135mm to go with my K-01 and with the lens' quiet focus motor, it's a nice stealthy combination! Beautiful Pentax colors and, for my purposes, sharp-enough! Not too heavy a lens considering the zoom range and it balances quite nicely with the K-01.

Sunset with plane. This is my number one holiday lens.... After doing some test with my da 18-250 to compare 135m againt 250 i decided i could live with 135 mm and sold the 18-250. No regrets....

Yeah, that looks like WR conditions if I ever saw them. Looks brutal! Nice photos.
